Ben Gulabin, meaning Snouted Mountain. This, according to an ancient Gaelic ballad, is the place where Diarmaid Ua Duibhne, hero of the Fianna, killed the wild boar and subsequently died himself after one of the boar’s poisonous bristles pierced him.
